Pig O' My Heart Potbellies. I make it a point to really get to know
my clients before a contract is signed and a piggy is matched
to her new family. I ask a prospective pig parent lots of
pertinent questions relating to their family: children and
ages, other pets, location, access to a pig-savvy vet, rural
or urban, zoning and generally get a feel for their level of commitment.
Those considering a pet pig ask me many questions about the nature,
care, training, size and temperament of the potbellied pig. I refer prospective clients to my past clients and offer them multitudes of
reading materials outlining in detail specifics regarding the

place in responsible, caring homes; and, to provide my clients with a happy, healthy pet who can easily adapt to their home situation, getting
the process off to the best possible start.
How We
Prepare Your Pig For Adoption
All my pet pigs are registered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and spayed or neutered. They are litter box trained and spend time in my home being socialized and learning good piggy manners. I see no differences in adult size or temperament between males and females. Pig appearances and personality preferences prevail. Care (including an annual visit to the vet) and cost ($600) is comparable to that of a well-bred dog. This price does not include shipping costs.

My practice is to find
adoptive homes for my pigs prior to their birth. By doing
this piglets are assured of being placed and the new parents have plenty of time to prepare. I require a $250 non-refundable deposit. This
entitles you to my Potbellied Pig Parenting
manual as well as another potbellied pig text so that you can
be doing your homework before your sweetie pig's arrival.
Breakdown of
Costs
$600 for neutered/spayed piglet, including vaccinations, deworming, health certificate, microchip, and application for permanent registration paper. Additionally, shipping is $185 and there is a $50 refundable kennel deposit. If you adopt two pigs at the same time, there is a $100 discount on the second pig. Two pigs can be shipped for the same price as one in the same kennel. (Above prices subject to change.)
